ABOUT THE PROJECT

To support small and medium-sized enterprises as well as craft businesses in their digital transformation towards sustainable and future-oriented operations, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action has launched the Mittelstand-Digital initiative. The Mittelstand-Digital Center Rostock is part of the Mittelstand-Digital Network and provides professional support to companies in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania through free events, practical lectures, certified training programs, and individualized digitalization projects. The focus is particularly on companies in the fields of healthcare, medical technology, tourism, health tourism, and the construction industry.

DIGIBAU_MV at Hochschule Wismar is a subproject within the Mittelstand-Digital Center Rostock network. The team at Hochschule Wismar supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of sustainable planning and construction within the urban-rural development framework, aiming for energy- and resource-efficient (re)construction and operation of their properties. DIGIBAU_MV explores how artificial intelligence can contribute to greater sustainability in buildings and demonstrates, through practical examples, how digital tools and AI applications can be used in the planning, construction, and operation of buildings to enhance the sustainability of buildings and cities.
